TILT & TURN WINDOW BENEFITS
Tilt & Turn window has two opening methods with both positions opening inwards, tilt which opens the top and turn opens one of the sides. Tilt opening has strong ventilation and anti-theft characteristics. The opening requires a 100mm gap from the internal blinds and curtains. Hot air rises to the top of the room and the tilt window position facilitates constant release of this hot air, thus maintaining cooler temperatures whilst providing excellent passive ventilation properties.
The Turn opening allows cleaning and repair for the glass panel from inside whilst allowing high level of ventilation when opened completely. This system is highly recommended for first floor and above use in all residential and commercial applications where ease of cleaning and constant all weather ventilation is a requirement. Note - The window should be kept closed in storms or when rain is accompanied with strong winds.

Why Double Glazing Matters in Sydney
and every other coastal town in Australia
Remember when tradies used to say, “You don’t need double glazing in Sydney”?
Many of the same people are now saying you don’t need thermal frames either.

Let’s ask a simple question.

Did you run your heater for more than a month during winter?
Did you wish you had stronger cooling during summer?

If the answer is yes, then you absolutely benefit from high-performance double glazing with thermal frames.
It’s like turning up to Thredbo in winter and saying you don’t need a jacket. If it’s smart to wear the right clothes for the environment, then it’s smart to choose the right windows for your home.
Sydney homes face a very common problem.
-
We all want the views, but not the glaring sun.
-
We want natural coastal breezes, but not noisy blinds and curtains clanging in the wind.
-
We want privacy from neighbours and the street without permanently closing ourselves off from natural light.
-
And nobody enjoys constantly cleaning shutters and dusty blinds.
This is where high-performance double glazing with integrated blinds completely changes the experience of living in your home.
But double glazing alone does not solve every problem. In Sydney and many coastal environments, a sudden cold snap after a warm spell can quickly cause condensation to form on poorly insulated windows. This moisture often builds up on cold frames and glass surfaces. Left untreated, it can eventually lead to mould forming around windows and spreading throughout the home during winter.
The solution is not simply “double glazing.”
The solution is a complete high-performance window system.
That means:
-
thermally broken frames,
-
balanced glazing,
-
quality seals,
-
and correct installation that maintains a continuous thermal barrier.
There is little benefit in investing in premium glass while ignoring the frame around it. It’s like wearing a winter jacket with the zip left open during a blizzard.
When glazing, frames, and installation all work together correctly, your home becomes quieter, healthier, more energy efficient, and significantly more comfortable year-round.
A properly engineered window system also improves acoustic performance. Sydney is no longer the quiet city it once was, and good double glazing helps create calm, peaceful interiors protected from outside noise.
At the end of the day, double glazing is not just about reducing electricity bills. It’s about creating a healthier and more comfortable way to live.
