TILT AND TURN WINDOWS

This window system has been extensively used around Europe due to its versatility in opening positions and ease of cleaning characteristics. Tilt & Turn windows have two opening methods: TILT: opens inward at the top & TURN: opens inwards from the side. Inward tilt opening has strong ventilation and anti-theft characteristics. The turn feature allows ease of cleaning and maximum ventilation.

BIFOLD WINDOWS

Bifold windows allow a very large unobstructed opening, great for inside-outside entertaining and maximising your view. The bi-fold system features panels connected on hinges which can stack on one or both sides of the opening. Great for accessibility, visual connectivity and ventilation, they can also be combined with retractable fly screens.

Awning Window by Terra WIndows and Doors

AWNING WINDOWS

An Awning Window swings out from the bottom through a chain winder mechanism. This is a simple and user-friendly system which complies with Australian Standards for high rise buildings through a limiting lock on the opening for safety. While commonly used in Australia, it does not offer easy access to external glazing for cleaning. It can be combined with an internal fixed or retractable fly screen to keep out insects.

SLIDING WINDOWS

Sliding windows are the most commonly used system in Australia.

They run on a track and stack behind each other.

You can select either a double or triple track option which can facilitate very large openings.

HUNG WINDOWS

The hung window system features one or two panels which overlap each other vertically to create an opening on the top and bottom. The panels are hung on cables with springs to facilitate ease of operation.

This system is widely used for small window spans where trickle ventilation is required, such as in a kitchen or bathroom.

This system is very hard to clean from the inside, especially when integrated with an external fixed fly screen.
